Shooting Robert King

Just watched a really amazing documentary about Photojournalist Robert King. It follows him through three wars over the last fifteen years. Some of his work is really great but imposible to find online. Anyway you can watch it online at http://bbc.co.uk/i/sjdmt/ Do it!

Currently on my stereo:

Flying lotus - Cosmogramma

really cool, quite experimental, requires a few listens before you can truly appreciate the amazingness of this record. One of my favorites of the year so far...

Woods - At Echo Lake
Very similar to there last album... just really good Lo-fi pop music, very similar to real estate.

Avi Buffalo - S/T
Love this Album! It's brilliant.

Male bonding - Nothing Hurts
Really cool band from London, recently signed to Sub pop.

Wolf parade - Expo 86

New wolf parade

Man/miracle - The shape of things

My Blog.

Welcome to my blog, I’m a twenty one year old photography student based in Bournemouth. I plan to use this blog as a tool that will help me grow as a photographer and encourage me to carry on shooting and looking at photography over the summer. I will update as regularly as possible with things that I’m shooting, works by contemporary photographers that inspire my work and anything I find particularly interesting on the Internet.

The Photograph above and the ones bellow are from a project that I’ve been doing over the last couple of months on our obsession with survival and in particular organised survival weekends. The point of the series was to create a satire that would point out all the absurdities of these weekends whilst being sensitive to the subject. I wanted to create a serious series of images that still had an element of humour within them. Anyway, these are four of my favourite images from the series.
